Chopin
I had the pleasure of seeing the Philadelphia Orchestra a couple of weeks ago. This piece was played incredibly well by soloist Louis Lortie.
It is mournful and light all at the same time.
The program included a great quote from a Warsaw critic from one of Chopin's performances at the time, he wrote, "These tones seem to be the happy echo of our native harmony."
